Black Belt gradings are formal examinations conducted by ITFU-accredited examiners. Students are entered only when the instructor is satisfied they are ready. Contact us for more information.
No Classes — 17 & 19 April 2026
The Instructors Are Grading 🥋
On Friday 17th and Sunday 19th April there will be no classes at the club.
Why? Because your instructors will be in Bradford doing what they ask of you every grading day — proving themselves under pressure. Richard is going for his VI Dan and Catherine is stepping up to IV Dan.
We’re sure they’ll be absolutely fine. Probably. 😅 We’ll let you know how it goes.
Classes resume as normal on Friday 24th April.

About Gradings
Gradings are held periodically throughout the year. Students are only entered for a grading when the instructor is satisfied they are ready — you will never be pushed forward before your time.
Stripe tests (half-grade promotions) are conducted within class and do not require a formal grading examination. Kup gradings are formal assessments covering patterns, techniques, terminology and sparring at the appropriate level.
All gradings are ITFU recognised. A grade earned at Manx Taekwon-Do is valid at any ITFU-affiliated club worldwide.
